SW REVIEW
Reminiscent of a speakeasy American diner on the Lower East Side, Spuntino is the latest venture by the masterminds behind Polpo and Polpetto. Like its sister restaurants, the menu consists of small tasting plates, this time specialising in stateside classics such as mac n’ cheese, pulled pork sliders, shoe string fries and cheesy grits. Not to worry, they have healthy options too. We love their salad with fresh ricotta and seared beef. With it’s grungy-but-cool interior, the setting is perfect for meeting up with pals just before a night out on the town, or even as your final stop as the diner is open until midnight. The eatery does not take reservations and seating is limited so be prepared to join a queue of fellow Stateside Snack lovers...it’s well worth it!
