SW REVIEW
To say that Abel Lusa's newest tapas restaurant is a local sensation would be somewhat of an understatement. Lusa's famed Spanish restaurants have taken a new turn with his most recent addition, Capote Y Toros. A cousin to the acclaimed Cambio de Tercio and Tendido Cero, the first-come, first-served tapas bar has had immediate success. Like its neighbours, Capote y Toros features only the finest in Spanish cuisine. While the innovative menu is always changing, you can count on signature staples to include delectable charcuterie, unbeatable croquettes and imaginative spins on traditional desserts. With cinco jotas hams hanging above the impressive wooden bar, walls covered in photos of bullfighters and brightly-coloured outdoor tables (weather permitting), you simply could not ask for a more genuine Spanish experience. Beyond the sensational food, the wine list is impeccable. With a staggering list of sherries (the largest in London), you would certainly regret not visiting this South Ken favourite. The vibe is upbeat and effortlessly infectious; once you step foot in Capote you are bound to enjoy yourself. Stop in for a quick drink and small tapas before heading out or grab a table and stay all night. SW loves this newest slice of Spanish flair in the heart of West London.
