A rather plain exterior and basement dining room do little to detract from the wonderful japanese fare served up by this Marylebone gem. The sushi and sashimi are as fresh as they come, and innovative additions such as black truffle, foie gras and crispy pork belly come together to form the delightful ‘Japanese tapas’ menu. Seasonal chefs' specials are listed on the central blackboard and are definitely worth a look, though be a little wary of getting carried away, as quality this good doesn’t come cheap and those prices can add up! While SW often prefers champagne to match, the white wine list here represents comparatively better value.
