SW REVIEW
There’s not really a lot SW can add to all the hype and hysteria written about the first London venture from the UK’s most inventive culinary master, except that it genuinely is that good. From the staff serving with a smile, all well-versed in the intricacies of each aspect of the menu of re-created Medieval British dishes, to the sight of drunken pineapples roasting on spits for the famed ‘Tipsy Cake’ visible in the kitchen, you’ll quickly see why most had to wait months just to get their foot in the door. Each dish tastes truly unique and comes with its own history lesson, and the well-chosen wine list has something for everyone. Keep your eyes peeled for celebs sitting either side of you, but make sure they don’t steal anything off your plate, as the real star here is the food.
