SW REVIEW
Every time SW thinks about the melt-in-the-mouth sheer excellence of Hawksmoor’s steaks, we shed a small tear of happiness. Then rise to our feet in a slow handclap like we’ve just witnessed some kind of carnivorous equivalent of a Kate Winslet Oscar acceptance speech. Their steaks are THAT good. Exhibiting every bit of meat-mastery of the exceptional Spitalfields original and making full use of its old brewery location, this truly is a meat lover’s paradise. On offer are amazing cocktails in giant sharing glasses to start, mind-blowingly good steak specials listed on the chalk board (order the best cuts quickly...they’ll literally disappear before your eyes) and sides such as Mac and Cheese done exceptionally well. It’s easy to see why Hawksmoor is one of the real heavyweights of London’s burgeoning steak scene and, with the Prime Rib that features as a special from time to time, they may just have the knockout hay-maker to clinch the title of London’s best. Suave enough for a date, sophisticated enough for a meeting and damn-well superb enough to enjoy with a group of friends, Hawksmoor Seven Dials is quite simply a treat for carnivores and a shining paradigm of the modern-day steakhouse.
