Meat is still definitely the order of the day in this old butcher’s shop, refitted with a simple, crisp décor and an excellent kitchen team serving up good, honest food. Often described as ‘Notting Hill’s answer to St John’, the restaurant updates the menu on their website daily so check in to make sure they have what you fancy, whether that be Wild Rabbit, Roasted Sole or Braised Roe Shoulder for two. The puddings are all classic English and have ‘Sunday Lunch’ written all over them. Works well for a relaxed date or call ahead to book a booth for the whole family or friends. Has never failed to satisfy and delight on any of SW’s many, many, many visits.
