Celebrity chefs may come and go in these fickle times, but Michel Roux Jr is one of the most recognizable faces working in London's restaurant scene today, having consistently wowed customers since taking over the reins of this Mayfair stalwart from his father and uncle. Two Michelin stars barely do justice to the exquisite, classic creations served up to you in comfortable surroundings that suit an extravagant business dinner or a romantic dinner equally well. The tasting menu is not the most adventurous we've come across, but with 60,000 wines in the cellar, the wine-pairing for each dish is certainly SW's favourite in town, with expert sommeliers pairing up some unexpected but fantastic matches. The set lunch is well known to be a genuine steal when diners discover that the price also includes a half-bottle of wine to ensure that work that afternoon will be just that little bit more fun....
