Giorgio Locatelli's much-loved London restaurant housed in the Churchill Hyatt Regency Hotel is still impressing after almost a decade. The atmosphere might be a little stuffy (perfect for business during the day, does lighten up a little in the evenings), but the crisp, clean natural colours employed in its interior make for a pleasant enough setting. The food is excellent - a giant basket of home-baked bread is regularly offered your way and the range of dishes on offer is fantastic. It's easy to see why more than a few of the pasta dishes have been appointed the honour of being considered 'signature dishes' - the technical expertise behind them is somewhere between artistry and wizardry. A handful of well-made cocktails are available and it's nice that the wine list is 95% Italian. The Michelin star that comes with each meal means that the prices can add up, but it's a great choice for a business meeting or special occasion. SW highly recommends living la vida loca...telli!
