SW REVIEW
Being huge fans of Maze, SW was one of the first to register for the opening of chef Jason Atherton’s first solo venture when it opened earlier in the year and boy, were we not disappointed. Exhibiting all the dedication to the best of British ingredients, the same mastery in the kitchen and an added attention to service detail, Pollen Street Social outdoes Atherton’s previous home as an intimate dining experience. Whereas Maze was built to impress and is therefore perfect for business and large groups, Pollen Street Social brings the experience back to the diner, with waiting staff fantastically friendly and more than willing to accommodate the most whimsical fancy, making it one of the best date venues in town. Awarded with a Michelin Star in its first year (with all expectations pointing towards more to come), Pollen Street Social is a credit to the West London restaurant scene and one of the most exciting newcomers in recent years. Definitely worth a look for anyone looking for a romantic, well-fed night out…and with the added bonus of a fantastic bargain of a set-lunch menu, a private dining experience for up to 14 guests and even a cookery experience allowing you to learn from the head chefs themselves.
