SW REVIEW
Skip straight past the queues for French beer at Dean Street’s The French House and head straight upstairs to find this hidden gem (and smaller sister of Beak Street’s Polpo) amongst Soho’s many eateries. Although the small space doesn’t accept reservations, put your name down and the staff will kindly text you when the table is ready, allowing you to head out to grab a pre-dinner cocktail nearby or fight for a space at the bar downstairs. The varied selection of excellent Italian dishes are small enough to allow you to sample two or three, if not perhaps the ‘four or five’ that the charming waiters may recommend. None of them fail to impress though, and you will soon find yourself planning exactly how many you might be able to try and STILL have room for desert. A perfect way to start the evening.
