SW REVIEW
While others often claim that this Fitzrovia style-and-sake centre is just a little bit too full of itself, SW has never come away anything but impressed with the relaxed atmosphere, fantastic tempura, and just about anything that comes off its central robata grill. Better (or certainly better value) sushi can be found elsewhere, but having visited with friends, on dates and in the name of business, Roka proves itself to be a truly versatile night out. A great range of sake comprise the focal point of the wine menu, though if you don’t mind a little loud house music, you can always pop downstairs to the Shochu Lounge for a bit of cocktail variety. Dishes are great for sharing and taste fantastic, which may explain the celebrity visitors constantly popping in for tables and Roka’s firm place as one of the main reasons that Charlotte Street continues to be a favourite of the city’s Foodie community.
