Located on a sleepy street near to Sloane Square, the quiet dining room of Rousillon is home to great modern French food with a welcome element of being just off the standard city circuit. In true French style, prepare to be inundated with glorious amuse-bouche and canapés from the minute you walk through the door. Food is impressively executed, and particularly welcome is the Vegetarian tasting menu option available for those who steer clear of the meat. A visit during truffle season (around Christmas time) can be rewarded by some great specials full of truffley-goodness, and the sommeliers really know there stuff in finding you that perfect bottle to match. Not a patch of glitz in sight but perfect for a relaxed date or dinner with friends where you’d prefer food and conversation to be top priority.
