SW REVIEW
SW certainly appreciates that the true secret of Indian cuisine lies in the correct use of spices and the deft flavour-mastery exhibited by this beloved South Kensington restaurant is the reason why it’s such a favourite with locals. Fresh ingredients are perfectly muddled into amazing concoctions that’ll have you drooling for more. (We ordered Sea Bream cooked in a banana leaf. We loved Sea Bream cooked in banana leaf. We’ll be wrapping everything in banana leaf.) The relaxed and comfortable atmosphere inside is occasionally interrupted by a comic buzzer indicating when food is ready, but the smells wafting from the kitchen are so good that you’ll be too distracted hoping that it’s your order. The gentlemen servers are oh-so-polite and know the menu inside out, ready to recommend a dish to your liking at a moment’s notice. A great local gem offering some of the best of the sub-continent and, as an added bonus, dishes are available to takeaway.
