The Ledbury’s ascension from briefly-mentioned ‘also-ran’ to a serious contender for London’s best restaurant over the last couple of years does give it a lot to live up to. Visitors come with high hopes, yet chef Brett Graham’s wonderful Aussie-Anglo-French dishes consistently hit the mark both in terms of innovation and execution. Often praised is the relaxed feel of the luxuriously decked-out dining room that is just far enough from the well-travelled Chelsea/Mayfair city dining route that it does feel a little bit more like a good local, rather than a double Michelin Star winner.
