SW REVIEW
This spacious Notting Hill studio offers a wide range of classes from mat and equipment-based Pilates to Gyrotonic® and Gyrokinesis® classes. Both one-on-one tuition and small group classes are available to suit clients of all levels. Heartily recommended to those who enjoy variety in their work-outs. While both systems have an "total body" focus which leaves nothing out, Pilates is the real deal for creating stability, strength and clarity of movement, while Gyrotonic classes combine the principles of yoga, dance, gymnastics and tai chi to create a technique based on spherical awareness and rhythmic motions that gently work all joints and muscles. For a cardio-tastic experience, try the jumpboard Pilates class - performed on a reformer machine with an affixed foot board. Or, for a more fluid workout, try their fantastic Gyrotonic classes using the amazing Pulley Tower. This class promotes dexterity, co-ordination, flexibility and strength with the added bonus that the workout leaves the mind clear and refreshed. With a large variety of classes on offer, there are also lots of ways to pay. Go for single classes if you need the flexibility or for consistency (and great value!), take advantage of the membership and package deals. Oh, and as an added bonus, Kinesis have an amazing team of therapists who offer a different range of services from massages and acupuncture to nutrition and weight management. After all, true fitness is more than exercise itself.
