It's hard to think of a public tennis centre as a 'best kept secret', but this really is just that - it's not nearly as busy as the major parks and courts are very often available last minute (ssssshhhh). The centre offers 12 floodlit tarmac and synthetic courts, allowing players to brush up on their game on different surfaces. Bookings may be made up to 7 days in advance (14 days for members), and the fees for the tarmac and synthetic courts range from £6-£8 and £9-£11, respectively, with discounts offered for Westminster residents card holders and members.
